"One day, you'll laugh at the things you thought mattered."

Name: Sosei Isha

Age: 27

Village: Gale Spring

Job: Healer | Doctor

Birthday: April 11th

Height: 6'2 | 188cm

Weight: 198lbs | 90kg

Ability:

Klutz: The Pokemon can't use any held items

Attacks:

Healing Wish | Ice Beam

Personality:

Despite his recent experiences, Sosei continues to remain a polite individual. He treats others fairly and only expects the same treatment. When it comes to his patients, he comes off more strict, especially with stubborn individuals. He hates to waste his time on anything or anyone, seeing it as a precious resource, especially now that he's become older. At times, he can come off standish, with an almost cold persona. It's rare to find him in such a state, however, as this is what could be considered his true "persona". But these are rare, and usually he is quick to cover up and give a carefully crafted excuse and change the conversation to something other.

Likes:

Warm days | The color blue | Sweets | Lettuce | Completion | Tea with a nice chat

Dislike:

The cold; everything cold | The color blue | Carrots | Broccoli | Bitter foods | Confrontations | Stupidity | Wasting Time | Dragon

History:

Sosei has had an ordinary life. The youngest kitten in his mother's litter, he was always overlooked or set aside for an older brother or sister. The misguided neglect did affect the boy, but as with all lonely children, he turned to books to be his companions instead. Often sneaking into his father's library, he would find the books for medicine and would wonder why his samurai father would have these. His father explained that a branch of their family used to be medicine people, but when the wars came to their lands, they had to drop their herbs and instead take up arms to protect their loved ones. It was fascinating to the young Buneary, but did that mean he had to stay a warrior? He had no talent for the sword and his combat skills were mediocre at best. So, one day, he came to his father and straightforwardly asked to become a medicine man.

The elder lopunny had always wondered what to make of his youngest son, so at his request, he more or less let him do what he wanted. While he wasn't the best attentive father, he did care for his children and if it made his son happy, then so be it. So the search was cast for a teacher, which Sosei would find one day by the stream. He had noticed some herbs growing there, and it was here that he would meet the gastrodon woman that would be his master. Crass and rude, she was the boy's opposite and rejected the first time he asked. But Sosei would not give up and stubbornly he went after her, until finally she would agree if it got the boy to stop being annoying.

Unfortunately, that meant that the gastrodon's solitary lifestyle would be disrupted. She now had to care for a ten year old boy AND teach him her craft, something she was not the best at. Sosei's days in her care would be... interesting to say the least, though they mostly involved him trying not to be eaten by the wild pokemon that wandered near her home or not starve to death from the lack of food. But the buneary worked diligently and grabbed whatever lessons he could from the gastrodon. It wasn't until he was fifteen that his master would take him seriously and then his real training began, which was, to say the least, worse than his past experiences before.

Shortly before turning seveenten, Sosei would meet and fall in love with a lovely Snorunt girl named Kikyo. This made the buneary worked harder, determined to earn a craft and stable job so he could compete with the suitors for her hand. In the end, however, it was his family's money that helped win the race and the two were married in the fall. Sosei had evolved into a Lopunny then and together the newly married couple would settle for a new life.

Few years later, at the age of twenty-two, Sosei would return to his family's home, alone and a changed man. He told his father in no less words that his wife had gone missing, and when the man offered to send a party of men to search for him, the lopunny declined and asked instead for some money and passage to the neighboring country of Pokimono. When asked his reasons for going so far, Sosei merely replied that everywhere he went, he saw his wife's face, and that he needed a new start. By this admission, his father thought the girl to be dead, but when pressed, Sosei refused to answer.

So once again, the father tried to show his son that he loved him by obliging to his request, gaining him passage and helped him settle within Pokimono. Oddly enough, instead of finding a home in the warm of Scorched, he settled for the icy cold north of Gale Springs, to which he practices his trade within a small hut in the terrian than the Village itself.

Failed new relationships and a tease at something more has caused the lopunny to... reaffirm his convictions. If he seemed cold and distant, it must be the other's imagination. But no longer is the man so quick to open himself up to anyone, and would rather keep his acquaintances as just that, acquaintances.

Additional Info:

- Owns a variation of female clothing that originate from the Jade Imperium. If asked who these belonged to, he would smile and simply reply, "Mother."

- Lives in a house he had commissioned to be built on the side of the mountain. While some would question why would anyone build their home in such a treacherous area, Sosei has lived quite comfortably here, and lives off the land.

- Was given a hydreigon companion that is more feral than tamed. It once had a name, but Sosei now refers to it as Dragon. It serves as the guard "dog" of his house.

- Has a love/hate relationship with the color blue. He once loved the shade, but now it inspires a bittersweet feeling of anger and coldness.

- He works out of his home and only really comes down to the village to trade and barter for the necessities.

- Suffers from insomnia and would often go days without sleep. His cure to this is to overwork himself to the verge of collapsion.

 - Probably has more secrets than anyone could discover, many of which he will take to his grave.
